About: Bambito Estate has been passed down through five generations of the Amar Sittón family. The patriarch of the family, Alberto Sittón Ríos, acquired the farm from his father in 1945 and it remained his lifelong passion. Today, Bambito Estate is run by Priscilla, her brother Rafael, and her son Ivan.
Located high up in the cloudy forests of Volcan Baru, Bambito Estate is nestled between two national parks and is intersected by two mountain ridges running from east to west, creating two distinct microclimates for coffee cultivation. This unique setting produces Geisha that few places on Earth can match, boasting a clear sparkling acidity and strongly perfumed florals. We have had the privilege of knowing the Amar Sittón family since our first trip to Panama in 2010. At that time, they weren't producing enough Geisha to sell, but we recognized they had something truly special. Since their first exportable harvest in 2013, we have been purchasing Geisha coffee from Bambito Estate, and it consistently remains one of our favorites each year.
