Region: Dipilto, Nueva Segovia
Elevation: 1650 masl
About: Finca Los Alpes sits high in the Dipilto Mountains of northern Nicaragua, close to the Honduran border. Managed by Olman Valladárez, the farm grows a range of varieties, with its youngest Geisha trees producing their first harvest in 2023.
Those young trees made quite the entrance. Olman’s natural Geisha took first place in Nicaragua’s Cup of Excellence in 2023, 2024 and again in 2026, establishing Los Alpes as one of the country’s standout producers. The Geisha planted here comes from Panamanian stock, bringing the genetic potential for exceptional quality and a distinctly tropical cup profile.
This lot is naturally processed, allowing the fruit character of the Geisha to shine. Beyond coffee, the Valladárez family supports local public health campaigns and community celebrations, with a focus on building a sustainable, family-minded culture around the people who grow and produce their coffees.
