If you're new to the party... we've been working with Amando, Javier, and Ovidio since 2012 (10 years!), and the evolution they've been through as coffee producers since then is nothing short of amazing.For May's Showcase, we've handpicked their signature coffees - true excellence!Amando GuzmanArmando 'Mandito' Guzman is a man of consistency and true flavour. He works his modest farm mostly by himself, and at the ripe old age of 58, he isn't showing any signs of slowing down. Despite Honduras being hit by hurricane Eta and Iota at the beginning of the harvest, Armando and his mature Catimor trees weathered the storms. In fact, he had a healthy bumper crop, and his coffee scored the highest ever! We take Armando's entire harvest every year, so this coffee is a Proud Mary exclusive.Ovidio GomezMr Ovidio ‘Machete’ Gomez knows how to grow good coffee. His washed Red and Yellow Catuai is sweet, clean and juicy… as soon as we tasted it, we knew it would be a favourite. It exhibits a range of yellow stone fruit flavours and is tied together with a vanilla sweetness.Javier FernandezThis man needs no introduction. Javier makes up one half of the Fernandez duo who have been delivering their sweet coffees to us from the town of Las Flores since 2012. This Bourbon was fermented in an anaerobic environment for 96 hours before being washed and dried. This technique increases sweetness and mouthfeel while retaining the clarity and sparkle Javier’s washed coffees are prized for.
