About: Santa Isabel is located in the county of San Cristóbal Verapaz. This is the rainforest region of Guatemala in the department of Cobán. Finca Santa Isabel is currently directed by Luis (Wicho) Valdes. Maturation and drying of coffee are real challenges for Wicho. There are at least six different flowerings throughout the year and an extended harvest that goes from December to May.

The farm is planted with the Caturra varietal in its vast majority, under inga type shade trees. The farm is experiences extreme micro climate conditions, averaging 9 months of rain per year with 90% humidity during harvest.

This year we have two lots from Santa Isabel which have been exposed to different drying techniques. The ‘ES’ lot, denotes it was fully washed and entirely dried in the sun.
