About: Lake Atitlan! This is the second year that we have sourced coffee from Andrés Fahsen. The name of his farm Santo Tomas Pachuj translates to ‘place where the mist joins the highlands’. Andrés is very concerned about preservation of the natural environment in the region, and since August 2000 his farm has been certified under the Rainforest Alliance® program. In 2017 there was a competition organised for the eight producing regions of Guatemala by the governing institution Anacafé; Andrés won the competition which has allowed him to serve in trade shows around the world, teach classes, and roast under the regional profile brands of Anacafé as a true example of terroir from those regions.
