Guji is a zone situated in the Oromia region in the southern part of Ethiopia. These coffees have an intense sweetness and complexity due to the combination of very high growing elevation (2100 - 2300 masl), and slow drying on raised beds. The people of Guji are called the Oromo people and they have a very long history of coffee cultivation. This lot is made up from the production of various smallholder farmers who belong to a cooperative. Coffees from Ethiopia are usually made up of unclassified Heirloom varietals but in this case this lot is made up purely of Bourbon.
